An annual limited release of our C. Cassis blackcurrant liqueur aged in charred American oak whiskey barrels. Six months later, it is subtly mature. The result is moody and complex. *Only available for NY State shipping or pick-up.

Botanical blackcurrant aperitif aged #3 char ex-whiskey casks (this release was finished in a Coppersea Rye barrel), verging into tawny port territory. The process brings the cardamom up front, along with toasted spice undertones from the wood, and a roasted cherry fullness. The barrels allow for light oxidation which gives this liqueur a nutty quality and caramelized salinity.

The color of the wax top changes with every release. The 2024 release is a beautiful shrimp pink color that was inspired by Steak Diane’s impeccable hosting and affinity for shrimp cocktail, after she helped with filling the barrel.

This product is a limited release, with fewer than 500 bottles made each year. The next release will be in mid-November 2025. It’s only available for pick-up or shipping within New York. We are currently taking orders for the 2024 release.
